What CPA Relay is

CPA Relay is a practice management, client collaboration, and billing platform built specifically for solo practitioners and small US CPA and accounting firms. It gives your firm one organized place to run tax-year projects, share checklists through a client portal, send engagement letters from 53 starter templates, collect Form 8878/8879 e-signatures, log time, and get paid online via Stripe.

We are deliberately not a tax calculation engine or a general ledger. You already have Drake, UltraTax, Lacerte, ProConnect, or QuickBooks. CPA Relay handles the client engagement loop those tools leave out.

How we protect your firm and your clients

Small accounting firms hold sensitive tax and financial records every day. We built privacy and visual safety directly into the way CPA Relay works:

• Amber vs. Sky visibility cues: Every message, to-do list, and folder is clearly badged—Amber with an eye icon means the client can see it; Sky blue with a shield means it is strictly private to your firm.
• Isolated client access: Clients only see projects where you explicitly turn on Client Access. Grouping related family and business records together for firm filing never grants cross-access to clients.
• Tamper-evident e-signatures:Uploaded signature PDFs are stripped of risky scripts, gated by individual email verification codes, and sealed with a SHA-256 cryptographic fingerprint and audit certificate.
• Audited, time-limited support: If you ask CPA Relay support to troubleshoot your account, our read-only view cannot alter data, expires automatically in 30 minutes, and is permanently logged.
• Zero third-party trackers or AI training: We do not load ad-network pixels, we never sell firm or client data, and we never train AI models on your files.

Who builds it

CPA Relay is built and operated by Seveninblue LLC, an independent US software company. When you email us, you talk directly to the engineers who design, build, and maintain the product.
